กวาด

v. to sweep, to move people or animals en masse, to drive or chase by force or violence (as in hunting).

กวาดครัว- to remove the inhabitants of a country forcibly;

กวาดต้อน- to surround while driving the inhabitants out of their country; กวาดยา- to swab the throat with a remedy; ยากวาด- a remedy used for swabbling the throat; ลูกกวาด- hard candies, bonbons.

แกกวาดพื้นแล้วหรือ Have you swept the floor? เมื่อไรรัฐบาลจะกวาดล้างการกินสินบนให้หมด When will the government wipe out corruption? เขากวาดเงินที่เล่นได้ลงในกระเป๋า He swept his winnings into a bag.
